Rushmore Soccer Club Weather

Unfortunately we can't control the weather.  As such we must keep the safety of our kids in mind when it comes to playing and canceling games, practices or tournaments.

It is recommended that coaches or managers check the weather around 3pm daily to aide in determining whether to hold practice or not.

How does a coach or parent determine if the weather is appropriate to play in?  Our director of player development goes by these simple rules -

  • If it is below 40 degrees Fahrenheit, there is no training

  • If it is below 35 degrees wind-chill, there is no training

  • If it is raining heavily or snowing, there is no training

If the Soccer Rapid City Field Maintainer determines that the fields are too wet to play on, there is no soccer.  This is for the safety of players and upkeep of the fields.

MOST IMPORTANTLY, IF THERE IS LIGHTNING, GET ALL THE KIDS AND PEOPLE OFF THE FIELDS.
